Re-evaluation of the current situation--TB in Philly and my living in MS--has brought a grand change of plans. On Sunday morning at approximately 4 AM, I'll be packing up my truck and the two pups and heading to Philly.
Being an 18 hour drive, it will have to be split up into two days; however, TB will meet me in Nashville, and we'll continue the long journey together... in a confined space... with only one radio... and two restless pups... did I mention it will be 10 hours of driving in a confined space--TOGETHER?!? I am not the best rider... or driver, for that matter. I even get restless on a flight that I know won't be very long because I am so excited to get where we're going.
There are a few things that I will miss about Mississippi... family and friends... a back yard for the dogs... CAB DRIVERS NOT CUTTING YOU OFF ON JFK BLVD! So, it's soap box time!
I get into town on Thursday morning around 1 AM to get up at 7:30 AM to get ready to head out for my job interview. We head downstairs; hit Starbucks for my daily dose of caffeine; and went outside to wait for the valet. I get in the little crossover we rented and headed off to King of Prussia. I get down 17th Street; take a right on JFK Blvd; a left onto 16th Street; and then onto the 'S' Street that's named after some local river... and it happened. I was cut off by an irresponsible, uncaring, southern-hospitality-less cab driver.
What am I going to do?? Those people up there (I won't use the "Y" word... I just won't!!) don't care about the other driver. What's up with that?? Give the fellow motorist a break, people! We are all in a hurry and have places to go. Just because I am not charging a ridiculous fare-by-the-every-few-seconds for chauffeuring people around the city doesn't mean my time isn't valuable. Well... this could go on forever, so with that said... I'm gonna sign off with this one final thought...
Where's the FloPo when you need them... Can I transplant a few in Philly?!?

The Red-bellied, Blue-bird... on the ground?
Today was Troy's last day as a Ramp Supervisor for the API Team. He has spent his last night hotel-hopping and is headed home for his last full weekend off.
Southwest is known for their red-bellied planes... All of them, including a majority of the specialty planes, have this characteristic. And I'm sure that you all remember the JetBlue scandal where passengers were stranded on the tarmac for 10+ hours... which brought to all air-travelers attention "the passengers bill of rights." Well, today, my dear husband was on a sitting duck (or bird, whichever you prefer!).
After boarding his plane to fly to MDW, the pilots learned of weather in the Chicago area, and were forced to delay take-off for about... oh, 2 hours or so. This means lots of sitting and waiting... on the tarmac. One of his new co-workers, Jonathan, was rather casual about it... and joked that TB (that's Troy Black) now had "p-e-r-s-p-e-c-t-i-v-e... now he has it from the customer's vantage point," and some where in there he included a "welcome to PHL, brother!" I thought it was kinda funny, but TB didn't feel the same way at the time!
At about 4:25 PM EST, they took off... only to get to MDW and find out about another delay. His originally scheduled 7:20 PM departure left at about 9:20 PM... another late night.
Gotta love weather delays, but I'm pleased to report that TB will land around 11 PM our time, and we'll enjoy our last full weekend in together in our home.

Willow Grande Greeters
It is unfortunately (or fortunately for the grass and flowers) rainy here, so they can't play outside while it's dark and cool. I have tried for months to get a picture of them together, and tonight was my first successful attempt.
After many hours of observation, she still just sits; therefore, I'm convinced that she isn't quite sure yet what all the fuss is about... and I'd hope to keep it that way... one barking dog is enough!

It's Official!
Well... our house is on the market! It's always been a reality that we were moving with all the preparation and phone calls and paperwork, but there's nothing like a gold 4x4 post in your front yard to put it all in perspective for ya!
Our Realtor has to be the best in the Jackson Metro Area. Her name is Sharon Durham, and she is with Century 21 Maselle and Associates. We are so excited to have her as our listing agent.
We love our house and hope to sell it to someone who will love it as much as we do. For a viewing, call 601-981-1111!!
The Infamous Goat... Nannie!
Several others spotted Nannie in and around Castlewoods, but on Monday night, a neighbor decided it was time for Nannie to go. Animal Control came out and tranquilized poor little Nannie.
I am not sure of the outcome of the mission, but I am hopeful that she was returned to her home. For when trying to sell a home, it probably would look better not to have a goat running rampant through the yard or nibbling on the bushes!
Hey... Hi... Hello!!

Hi, all! Welcome to our little corner of the blogspot world!
A brief history... Troy and I met in April of 2005 while working for the M-Braves during their inaugural season. He thought I was married, and I thought he was very handsome, so after getting a few misinterpreted signals out of the way, we began dating... well, the rest is just, as previously mentioned, history!!
We were married on August 3, 2007 and live happily in our home, for now, in Brandon, Mississippi with our two precious canines, Max and Marlee.
As most of you know, we recently found out that we will be moving to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Troy was offered a promotion with Southwest Airlines as the Manager of Ramp and Operations, and after much debate, we decided to pack up and head north!
I'm creating our blog to keep you guys informed of details about our upcoming move. We are going to miss you all so much but are so excited about the new chapter in our life. Check back soon for more updates!
